"Stranger Things" premiered nearly a decade ago. President Barack Obama was still in office, and music legends David Bowie and Prince had only recently died. So it's safe to say, plot lines from the earliest seasons aren't exactly fresh in our minds.

Fans left the Dec. 19 performance of "Stranger Things: The First Shadow" buzzing after a once-in-a-lifetime moment: Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Henry Creel/Vecna on the hit Netflix series, made a surprise cameo in the show's epilogue.

The eight-episode final season of "Stranger Things" is being dropped in three parts. The first part, "Volume 1," premiered on Nov. 26. Three more episodes, "Volume 2," will hit Netflix on Christmas Day. The finale will drop on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 2025.

"They have had their hearts broken by shows they loved, that failed fans in the end," he recently told Variety, adding that series creators, the Duffer brothers, "did not want, and do not want, and refuse to be one of those shows".

The First Shadow" is a prequel that focuses on Henry Creel, aka Vecna. That backstory might be a clue to his fate in the season 5 finale of "Stranger Things."
